Housed in the College of Engineering, NJIT is home to the largest engineering school in the state and will provide you with comprehensive training in engineering design in a technology-rich environment.
Mechnical Engineering is a broad field and students at NJIT can design a specialization to enrich their expertise in a certain area. Some of these areas include: automotive, thermal systems, nuclear or solar energy, aerospace, polymers, CAD/CAM, hydraulics, biomedical engineering, fluid dynamics, robotics and particle technology.
Graduate Students have the opportunity to work with faculty on research in state-of-the-art multidisciplinary research centers. The department also has well-established relationships with business and government for internships/fellowships at agenices like NASA and Sandia National Labatories.
